I’m all for making life easier, especially when it comes to product data manipulation. Recently, I have been trying to Import Products into Magento at spare-parts-pro.com and things are going pretty well.
Adding product data to web development projects is a huge bug bear for most techies so if there is tool for getting the job done and getting the job done quicker then invest a little cash in the right tools and you will see your time spent more productively.

Adding products is one of the first exercises you will undertake when completing your first task. If you ever decide to take on your own Magento ecommerce store then these are the steps I take when setting up a product import profile.

First thing – Add a new Product

Why would you want to do this if you are trying to import products?
Well the simple reason is you need to know what the product profile will look like when you have it as a csv file. The csv file we are going to create will have all the headers necessary to create your import profile.

If you have a product with all the information you will ever need about that product then go ahead and fill out all the relavant fields. Some are mandetory, others are optional.
